Elmira, N.Y. -- The Ithaca softball team maintained its perfect record in Empire 8 play with a doubleheader sweep of Elmira on Saturday. Each game was shortened due to the eight-run margin rule. Ithaca won the first game 12-3 and the second game 11-1. The Bombers are 11-10 on the season and 4-0 in Empire 8 games. Elmira is 6-6 and 0-4 in the Empire 8. Ithaca faces Oneonta on Wednesday at Oneonta.
