Claremont, Calif. -- The Ithaca College baseball team (5-2) got back in the win column with a 24-3 romp over Hampden-Sydney (10-11) Wednesday. The Bombers battered the Tigers with 12 extra-base hits, including a school single-game record 10 doubles. Ithaca's run total and margin of victory were the program's highest mark since a 29-1 win at Utica in 2007.
Third baseman
Colby Gee went four-for-six, scoring three runs and driving in two. Freshman
Christian Brown scored three runs and drove in four, despite not entering the game until the sixth inning. Junior
Rocco DeBlasiis pinch-hit in the seventh inning; he reached base three and was one of four Bombers to collect two doubles.
The Bombers scored in seven of the nine innings and exploded for 11 runs in the eighth and ninth.
Jeffrey Mathers hit his first career home run and finished with three runs batted in. Senior second baseman
Matt Keller had three hits and senior outfielder
Mike Rosenbaum scored three runs. Freshman Vinny Gneo and outfielder
Andrew Turner both had two hits, two runs scored and two runs batted in.
Tim Henry scored a pair of runs.
Jimmy Wagner earned his first career win in his initial collegiate start, allowing just one earned run over 5.1 innings. He struck out three and gave up five hits. The Bomber bullpen turned in another strong performance.

Ian Gaule combined to blank Hampden-Sydney over 3.2 innings of hitless relief, fanning three Tigers.
The Bombers are idle Thursday and play a pair of games Friday in Claremont, facing Pomona-Pitzer and the host Sagehens.
