CLINTON, N.Y. -- The Ithaca men's swimming & diving team competed Saturday in a quad meet at Hamilton, along with Hartwick and Geneseo. Diver
Matt Morrison won both events, with a score of 313.10 on the 3-meter board and 280.35 on the 1-meter board. Both scores met the NCAA qualifying standard and Morrison has qualified for the NCAA Diving Regionals, which Ithaca will host.
The Bombers picked up a 179-58 win over Geneseo and a 180-61 win over Hamilton. Hartwick defeated Ithaca 138-99.
Several Ithaca swimmers compiled second-place finishes in their events.
Adam Zelehowsky was second in both the 200-yard freestyle (1:45.09) and the 200-yard backstroke (1:59.10).
Clement Towner touched second in the 500 free in 4:51.79 and
Zack Kundel was second in the 50 free in 21.78 seconds.
Taylor Van Cott was second in the 200-yard butterfly in 1:59.28 and
Jake Lichter was second in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:12.60.
The Bombers also placed second in both the 400-yard medley relay (3:35.02) and 400-yard freestyle relay (3:12.61).
Ithaca returns to action when the Bombers host the Bomber Invitational on Nov. 30 through Dec. 2 at the A&E Center Aquatics Pavilion.
