AURORA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College volleyball team (7-6) blanked host Wells (1-16), 3-0 (25-11, 25-12, 25-17), Wednesday evening.
Senior
Marissa Weil posted 13 kills to lead the Bombers, while freshmen
Dorothy Rosekrans and
Dylan Gawinski Stern each tallied five. Freshman
Carly Garone had 26 assists.

Defensively,
Gawinski Stern led the way with 10 digs.
The Bombers got off to a 6-0 start and went on to claim the first, 25-11. In the second, Ithaca opened with a 13-1 run before the Express pulled within 20-11. Ithaca put away five of the final six points to secure a 2-0 series lead with a 25-12 victory. Ithaca again ran away with the final set early on, but Wells answered to make it a 23-17 set. A

Gawinski Stern ace polished off the 3-0 sweep with a 25-17 third-set win.
The Bombers travel to Stevens Institute of Technology on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 5-6, to face conference opponents Houghton, Alfred and Elmira.
