ITHACA, N.Y. - The Ithaca women's tennis team (4-0) remained undefeated with a 5-4 win over visiting Cortland (4-2) Thursday afternoon. The Bombers swept three doubles matches and clinched the victory with two wins in singles matches.

Ithaca's clinching singles victories came from freshman Carly Siegel (Half Hollow Hills/Dix Hills) at second singles and sophomore Becky Guzzo (C.W. Baker/Baldwinsville) at third singles. Siegel won a three-set match against Cortland's Gabriela Medina and Guzzo was a 6-3, 6-1 winner over previously unbeaten Alyssa Tretter.

Junior Allison Young (Prout School/Newport, R.I.) partnered with Guzzo to win 8-2 at first doubles. Siegel joined senior Becky Campbell (Sanford School/Chadds Ford, Pa.) to win 8-2 at second doubles and freshman Allison Vizgaitis (Fayetteville-Manlius/Fayetteville) and senior Laurel Salladay (Pinkerton Academy/Hampstead, N.H.) were 8-0 winners at third doubles.

Ithaca competes this weekend at the ITA Northeast Regionals at William Smith.
