Pittsburgh, Pa. - The Ithaca women's tennis team (10-10) dropped a first-round match 5-3 against Wilkes (16-1) in an NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship first-round match Thursday evening at the PIttsburgh, Pa. Regional hosted by Carnegie Mellon. Ithaca earned wins at first doubles and the first and second singles positions.

Senior Melanie Cohen (Hatboro-Horsham/Ambler, Pa.) earned a 7-5, 6-0 win at second singles to cap her stellar Ithaca career with a victory. Cohen leaves Ithaca as the program's all-time leader in overall victories with 113. Senior Melissa Nunez (Morris Hills/Rockaway, N.J.) teamed with freshman Cristina Nunez (Morris Hills/Rockaway, N.J.) to win 8-5 at first doubles. Melissa Nunez is the program's all-time leader in doubles victories. Cristina Nunez won 6-2, 6-0 at first singles.
