Buffalo, N.Y. - The Ithaca softball team (26-10) split a doubleheader at Buffalo State (14-18) Sunday afternoon at Bengal Field. The Bombers won the first game 6-4 and dropped the second game 3-2.

Ithaca did most of its damage in the top of the second inning by scoring five runs. Carianne D'Alessandro
(Bridgewater-Raritan/Bound Brook, N.J.) started the rally with a leadoff home run and senior
Britt Lillie (Honeoye Falls-Lima/Mendon) capped the rally with a three-run homer.
D'Alessandro was 3-for-4 in the game with two doubles in addition to the homer.
The Bombers tacked on another run in the top of the sixth, and it was enough in support of winning pitcher
Allison Greaney (John F. Kennedy/Iselin, N.J.). She allowed eight hits over seven innings and struck out two.

Kait Dolan (Victor/Farmington) had a two-out RBI to bring in sophomore Molly O'Donnell
(Niskayuna/Niskayuna) with the tying run in the sixth.

Lillie split the pitching duties with freshman
