ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Ithaca women's tennis team (10-7) won two of three doubles matches, but dropped a 5-4 dual to visiting New Paltz (14-4) Friday afternoon at the IC Tennis Courts.

The Bombers started the match by winning 8-3 at both first and second doubles. Senior Melanie Cohen (Hatboro-Horsham/Ambler, Pa.) and junior Becky Campbell (Sanford School/Chadds Ford, Pa.) were the first match off and followed by senior Melissa Nunez (Morris Hills/Rockaway, N.J.) and sophomore Cristina Nunez (Morris Hills/Rockaway, N.J.) who won by the identical score.at first doubles.

Cristina Nunez was a 6-1, 6-1 winner at first singles and Cohen won 6-4, 6-3 at second singles.
