Delhi, N.Y. - The Ithaca women's tennis team (2-0, 2-0 Empire 8) picked up its second straight shutout victory over a conference opponent to start the season with a 9-0 win over Hartwick (2-1, 2-1 Empire 8) Thursday evening at SUNY Delhi.
Ithaca didn't drop a set in the entire match, and won at first doubles by injury retirement with a 5-0 lead. Freshman
Becky Guzzo (C.W. Baker/Baldwinsville) earned her first career victories with a pair of wins at third doubles and fourth singles.
