Pittsford, N.Y. - The 15th-ranked St. John Fisher (8-0, 1-0 Empire 8) men's lacrosse team defeated Ithaca (2-6, 0-1 Empire 8) 13-4 Wednesday afternoon at Growney Stadium in Rochester. It is It Ithaca's first loss to St. John Fisher in 13 meetings all-time.

The Bombers received two goals from sophomore attackman Devin Weinshank (Long Beach/Long Beach) and also revceived tallies from freshman midfielder William Gurowski (Webster Thomas/Webster) and junior midfielder Michael Silipo (Williston Northampton/Deerfield, Mass.). Gurowski and junior midfielder Jay Lucas (Fox Lane/Bedford Hills) had assists for the Bombers and junior goalie David Gal (Loomis Chaffee/Amherst, Mass.) made eight saves.

Ithaca had 15 ground balls in the game, led by three from Gal and the Bombers were successful in 19-of-22 clearing attempts.
