Canton, N.Y. - The Ithaca women's tennis team (10-1) began the spring portion of its season with a 5-4 loss at St. Lawrence (3-0) Saturday at Newell Field House. The Bombers won 10 straight duals during the fall season. Ithaca won two of three doubles matches Saturday, highlighted by the 8-1 victory at first doubles by sisters freshman Cristina Nunez (Morris Hills/Rockaway, N.J.) and junior Melissa Nunez (Morris Hills/Rockaway, N.J.). Cristina Nunez was also a 6-1, 6-0 winner at first singles.

Ithaca returns to action March 7 at Skidmore.
