#5 Bombers Outscore Four Opponents 139-30 At John Reese Duals

Wilkes-Barre, Pa. -- The fifth-ranked wrestling team (5-0) posted four wins at Saturday's John Reese Duals, hosted by Wilkes. Ithaca defeated Centenary 19-12, topped Hunter 32-9, dominated Mount St. Joseph 40-3 and routed King's 48-6. The Bombers are 39-2 in dual meets over the past three years,

Senior Nick Sanko (Hamburg Area/Lenhartsville, Pa.), junior Matt Mahon (Brighton/Rochester) and senior Blaine Woszczak (Wall/Manasquan, N.J.) all went 3-0 on the mat for the Bombers.

Sanko won three times by decision at 157 pounds. He's now 7-1 on the season (4-0 in dual meets) and 27-13 in his career.

Mahon, Division III's 10th-ranked heavyweight, pinned two of his opponents, giving him three falls this winter and 32 in his career. His season record is 4-0 and his career mark is now 49-15.

Ranked fourth nationally at 149 pounds, Woszczak picked up his first two pins of the season (he has 29 in his career). He's 7-1 this season and 109-33 in his career; he's eighth on the program's all-time victory list.

Senior David Priest (Wyomissing/Douglassville, Pa.) was unbeaten on the day, pinning one opponent, winning by major decision and recording two forfeit victories. Priest, ranked eighth at 174, remained unbeaten on the season. His 10-0 record is the team's best and he's picked up two pins and five major decisions. In his four years as a Bomber, he's compiled an 87-26 mark with 16 falls and 14 major decisions.

Junior Seth Ecker (Pottstown/Pottstown, Pa.), ranked sixth at 133 pounds, and sophomore Dave Foley (Fairport/Fairport) both went 3-1.

Ecker's three wins included two pins and a major decision and his loss was to Division III's top-ranked wrestler. Ecker is 8-2 this year (with both losses to the number-one wrestler in the country) with five pins. In his career he's 54-14 with 20 falls.

Foley raised his season record at 1to 7-2. One of his wins came against King's, where he wrestled last year before transferring to Ithaca.

Junior Max Cohen (Williamsville/East Amherst) won both his bouts at 125 pounds to stay unbeaten (6-0) on the season. Senior Jeremy Stierly (Owen J. Roberts/Pottsville, Pa.), ranked third at 141 pounds, also won two matches in as many tries. He's 3-0 this season and 58-15 in his career. Junior #Keith Dickey# (Cedar Cliff/New Cumberland, Pa.) won two of his three bouts at 184 pounds. Sophomore Gili Bauer-Moshi (Sleepy Hollow/Tarrytown) split four matches at 197 pounds; one of his wins came by his first career fall.

Four other Bombers picked up one win apiece:

149 pounds and freshman Dominick Giacolone (Cato-Meridian/Cato) at 125 pounds

The Bombers compete at Cornell's Body Bar Invitational Saturday.
