Oneonta, N.Y.--Ithaca (12-7, 3-0 Empire 8) continued its undefeated run at the Empire 8 Crossover Sunday afternoon, sweeping Utica 25-11, 25-18, 25-18. The Bombers hit .309 as a team against the Pioneers (10-9, 1-2 Empire 8). Ithaca concludes weekend play at 3 p.m. against Stevens Insitute of Technology.

Sophomore Kate Thoene (Voorhess/High Bridge, N.J.) hit .500 to lead the Bombers, picking up 10 kills against a single error in 18 attempts. Senior Rachel Busch (Hoover/North Canton, Ohio) was close behind; she hit .444 with nine kills and one error in 18 attempts. Sophomore Karin Edsall (Cornwall Central/Cornwall) chipped in seven kills.

Senior Corinna Doctor (Skaneateles/Skaneateles) tallied 29 assists in the win, and has recorded 110 through the first three conference matches of the weekend. She also had a pair of service aces

Sophomore Tina Orlandini (Flintridge Sacred Heart/Altadena, Calif.) also had two aces. She led all players with 15 digs.
