Seniors Lead Bombers to Win Over New Paltz

Natalie Jenereski earned her 12th singles win of the season Saturday.

ITHACA, N.Y. – Three Ithaca seniors provided two singles wins and a doubles victory Saturday as the Bomber women's tennis team (14-6) earned an 8-1 win over visiting New Paltz (7-7) at the Ithaca College Tennis Courts. The Bombers are ranked 22nd in the Northeast Region.

Seniors Alyssa Jaffe (Pascack Hills/Montvale, N.J.) and Lindsey Johnston (Woodstock Academy/Pomfret Center, Conn.) were 8-4 winners at third doubles. Jaffe won 6-0, 6-0 at third singles and senior Natalie Jenereski (Knoch/Butler, Pa.) was a 6-4, 6-0 winner at fourth singles.

The Bombers swept all six singles matches. Other winners for Ithaca included junior Devra Reiman (Columbia/Maplewood, N.J.), sophomore Agata Kubik (C.K. Norwid Gen. Lyceum/Czestochowa, Poland), sophomore Melanie Cohen (Hatboro-Horsham/Ambler, Pa.) and junior Sarah Hollis (Greens Farms Academy/Fairfield, Conn.).

Ithaca returns to action Wednesday afternoon when the Bombers host William Smith at 4 p.m.
