Cortland, N.Y. - The No. 5 Ithaca men's lacrosse team (6-0) scored three goals in the span of one minute in the third quarter to break open a close game and went on to an 11-8 win over No. 2 Cortland (4-1) Saturday afternoon at the Stadium Complex.

The Bombers built a 4-0 lead in the first quarter as senior Chris Carman (Monte Vista/Alamo, Calif.) opened the scoring on an assist from senior attackman Alec Siefert (Duxbury/Duxbury, Mass.). Mongelli scored his first two goals of the game and junior Nick Heckman (Sparta/Sparta, N.J.) capped the run with an unassisted goal.

Fourth-quarter goals from Carman and Siefert helped seal the victory for Ithaca.
