Clinton, N.Y. – The Ithaca men's swimming & diving team (4-3) outscored the host Hamilton Continentals 146-91 but was defeated by Hartwick 126-117 and Geneseo 134-103 in a quadrangular meet Saturday at Hamilton.
Sophomore Antoine Connors (Spartanburg/Spartanburg, S.C.) won the 50-yard freestyle in 22.02 seconds and anchored the winning 400-yard freestyle relay team for Ithaca in a time of 3:16.77. Connors also finished second in the 100 free in 48.63 seconds.
Sophomore Derek Rand (Amity/Orange, Conn.) finished second in both diving events, scoring 208.35 on the 1-meter board and 203.15 in 3-meter diving.
Connors was joined on the winning 400 free relay by freshman Jake Robbins (Fairport/Fairport), freshman Chris Cadwell (C.W. Baker/Baldwinsville), and junior Steve Croucher (Dallastown Area/York, Pa.).
Ithaca returns to action Dec. 4-6 at the Don Richards Invitational hosted by the Rochester Institute of Technology.
