ITHACA, N.Y.--The Bombers fell to New York University (24-7) 25-18, 25-23, 25-19 Saturday night. Sophomore Kate Thoene (Voorhees/High Bridge, N.J.) had a match-high 15 kills for Ithaca (21-15).

With 362 kills on the season, Thoene ranks second on the team. She has reached double figures in kills in 19 of Ithaca's 36 matches this season, including 10 of the last 12. Thoene also had three blocks in the match.

Senior setter Corinna Doctor (Skaneateles/Skaneateles) had 28 assists for the Bombers. Junior Tina Orlandini (Flintridge Sacred Heart/Altadena, Calif.) led all players with 18 digs.

Sophomore Chelsea Hayes (Northern Valley Regional/Haworth, N.J.) had 11 digs and picked up both of Ithaca's service aces.

The Bombers return to action Sunday at noon with a match against Potsdam.
