Oneonta, N.Y.--The Bombers (17-13) beat Oneonta (14-14) Tuesday evening, winning 25-22, 25-19, 23-25, 25-18. Ithaca returns to action Saturday at the second Empire 8 Crossover.

Senior Rachel Busch (Hoover/North Canton, Ohio) had a match-high 18 kills in the win. She has reached double figures in seven of her last eight matches, including three straight with at least eight.

Sophomores Kate Thoene (Voorhees/High Bridge, N.J.) and Karin Edsall (Cornwall/Cornwall Central) joined her in double figures Tuesday, with 15 and 12 kills, respectively. Thoene hit .367 and Edsall .333.

Senior Corinna Doctor (Skaneateles/Skaneateles) had 48 assists in the win. With 5,171 career assists, she is just 128 shy of setting the school record.

Ithaca opens play Saturday with a 2:30 matchup with Alfred.
