ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Ithaca Bombers (3-0, 1-0 Empire 8) celebrated Homecoming with a win for the 25th time in 27 years, scoring 10 touchdowns in a record-setting 69-42 win over visiting Hartwick (1-1, 0-1 Empire 8). The game was the Empire 8 opener for both teams.
Junior running back
Thomas Bergerstock (Webster Thomas/Webster) ran for 268 yards and five touchdowns as the Bombers recorded the program's second-highest single-game point total. His five touchdowns tied a school record and his rushing yardage was Ithaca's third-highest total.
Ithaca jumped out to a 27-7 first-quarter lead then limited the Hawks to 14 second-half points; Hartwick closed to 41-35 with a third-quarter touchdown, but the Bombers scored on four of their next five possessions to pull away.
Bergerstock's touchdowns included a 75-yard burst on the first play of Ithaca's final drive, a 24-yard third-quarter score, a nine-yard run that opened the scoring and a pair of one-yard rushes. The second of those one-yard scores followed a touchdown that pulled the Hawks to within six points early in third quarter.
The two teams combined for 1,067 yards of total offense and the 111 combined points were the most in any Ithaca game. Senior quarterback #
Dan Juvan# (Dobbs Ferry/Yonkers) needed just 13 completions – in 17 tries – to throw for 279 yards. He tied a career high with four touchdown passes.

Kyle Crandall# (Herkimer/Herkimer) both caught two touchdown passes and both went over 100 receiving yards.
Crandall caught three passes for 108 yards (including a 73-yard touchdown on one of Ithaca's two one-play scoring drives) and
Weverbergh gained 101 yards on five catches, all in the first half.

Andrew Rogowski# (Canisius/East Amherst) set Ithaca single-game records with nine extra points and 10 extra-point attempts.
