Women's Soccer Falls to William Smith

Sophomore Alyssa Sotomayor made 10 saves in the loss.

Geneva, N.Y. – The seventh ranked women's soccer team fell to 1-1-1 as it was defeated by William Smith 2-0 in the Heron Cup tournament on Saturday. Despite managing 20 shots, and nine shots on goal, the Bombers could not find the back of the net.

Senior forward Chelsey Feldman (Lynbrook/Hewlett) led the Bombers' offense with five shots on goal and eight total shots. Juniors Amy Scheffer (Schenectady/Schalmont) and Winnie Adrien (Blairstown Academy/Blair, N.J.) combined for nine total shots and three shots on goal.

Sophomore goalkeeper Alyssa Sotomayor (East Brunswick/East Brunswick, N.J.) played the entire game in net for the Bombers. She finished with 10 saves.

Ithaca will play Mt. Saint Vincent on Sunday at 11 a.m. in the second day of the Heron Cup at William Smith.
