ITHACA, N.Y. — The Ithaca men's soccer team (7-2-1) lost 1-0 to Rowan (4-7-2) in its first home loss of the season Saturday. The Bombers were unbeaten in their previous 10 home games, a streak that lasted over a year. The loss also snapped Ithaca's five game unbeaten streak.
The Bomber offense paced most of the game, but could not convert on any scoring opportunities. Ithaca outshot Rowan 18-10. Junior forward
Jeff South (Aptos, Aptos, Calif.) heavily pressured the defense and took two shots on goal.
Senior goalkeeper
Andy Wilhelm (Centennial, Ellicott City, Md.) made three saves.
The Bombers travel to sixth-ranked Hobart on Wednesday to play a non-conference game at 4:30 p.m.
