ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. — The Bombers traveled to Bard College for their final Liberty League matchup of the season, with each senior earning a spot in the starting lineup. Both teams entered the contest eager to close out their campaigns with a win.
Goalkeeper
Johannes Berghahn made an early save to keep Bard off the board, while
Drew Warren and the Bomber offense applied consistent pressure in the attacking third.
Jack Longo nearly capitalized on a set piece from outside the box, but his effort was cleared away by a Bard defender.
Warren continued to showcase his skill, beating a defender and unleashing a shot that resulted in a corner kick. With 15 minutes remaining in the first half, both teams were still searching for the opening goal. Berghahn came up big again in the 39th minute, making a highlight-reel save on a bicycle kick attempt to preserve the scoreless draw heading into halftime.
Bard held a slight edge in first half shots, outshooting Ithaca 10-6. As the second half began, both sides remained determined to break the deadlock. The Bombers strung together several promising attacking sequences, keeping Bard on its heels. A quick counterattack nearly led to a goal, but the shot missed just wide.
Ithaca's best chance came after an impressive flip throw-in from
Cameron Wooten, which bounced off the post and narrowly missed crossing the line as host of Bombers looked to tap the ball into the back of the net. Despite the late pressure, the match ended in a 0-0 draw, concluding the season for both teams.
The Bombers finish the 2025 campaign with a 7-6-4 record under first year head coach
Gabe Kuhn.
