Bombers Defeat Widener 3-0 In Volleyball Tournament Play

ITHACA, N.Y. – The volleyball team (6-0) finished its first day of competition at the Ithaca Invitational with a sweep of Widener (1-5), winning 30-17, 30-18, 30-26.

Senior Andria Mynders (Minisink Valley/Greenville) recorded a team-high 15 kills and senior Amanda Hubbard (Horseheads/Horseheads) added 12. Jenna Yehl (Horseheads/Horseheads) led the Bombers with 38 assists.

Senior Jessica Woodcome (Pittsford Sutherland/Pittsford) collected 10 digs and senior Mary Schaeffer (Eden/Eden) added eight.

Ithaca faces Hamilton (11 a.m.) and Brockport (1 p.m. ) Saturday.
