Rochester, N.Y. – The volleyball team finished the first of two Empire 8 Crossovers with a record of 2-2 after falling to conference newcomer Stevens Institute of Technology, 3-1 (28-30, 30-26, 20-30, 24-30). The Bombers are now 13-5 overall on the season.
Senior outside hitter
Amanda Hubbard (Horseheads/Horseheads) led Ithaca with a match-high 19 kills and a team-best 15 digs. Senior outside hitter
Andria Mynders (Minisink Valley/Greenville) and sophomore middle hitter
Jen Heberton (Darien/Darien, Conn.) put down 12 and 10 kills, respectively.
Sophomore setter
Corinna Doctor (Skaneateles/Skaneateles) dished out 45 assists and had seven digs. Senior
Mary Schaefer (Eden/Eden) and junior Brianna D’Errico
(Byron-Bergen/Byron) each registered 11 digs.
The Bombers return to action Tuesday when they travel to Rochester for a dual match at 7 p.m.
