Rochester, N.Y. -- The volleyball team (11-4) opened the first of two Empire 8 Crossovers with a 3-1 loss (24-30, 21-30, 30-22, 19-30) to Nazareth. Senior Amanda Hubbard (Horseheads/Horseheads) led the Bombers with 17 kills.

Senior Andria Mynders (Minisink Valley/Greenville) and sophomore Jen Heberton (Darien/Darien, Conn.) added 10 kills each. Senior Mary Schaefer (Eden/Eden) and junior Brianna D'Errico (Byron-Bergen/Byron) registered 13 and 12 digs, respectively.

Sophomore Corinna Doctor (Skaneateles/Skaneateles) tallied 19 assists, while senior Jenna Yehl (Horseheads/Horseheads) notched 13 assists. They both had seven digs.

The Bombers will next take on Elmira Friday at 6:30 p.m. at the Empire 8 Crossover, hosted by St. John Fisher.
