West Palm Beach, Fla. -- The women’s lacrosse team closed its spring trip with a 10-8 victory over Vassar to improve to 3-0 on the season, marking the teams fourth 3-0 start in the past seven years. Junior Kim Medla (Brewster/Brewster) led Ithaca with four goals in the win.

 

Sophomore Becky Bedard (East Longmeadow/East Longmeadow, Mass.) tallied two goals with two assists and Meagan Howell (Newark/Newark) scored three times for the Bombers. Freshman Sarah Cox (Honeoye Falls-Lima/Honeoye Falls) also added a goal and classmate Kylie McClure (Upper Arlington/Columbus, Ohio) recorded one assist. Senior Lindsay Mayfield (Nichols/East Aurora) junior Emily Brooks (Ward Melville/Setauket) combined for seven saves in the win.

 

The Bombers return to action March 22 when they host Cortland at 4 p.m.
