Ithaca Beats Fredonia, Falls to Case Western Reserve

Mark Tedeschi recorded a win in the 200-yard breaststroke with a pool record time at Fredonia

Fredonia, N.Y. - The men's swimming & diving team competed in a double-dual meet at Fredonia Saturday, defeating Fredonia (155-49) but losing to Case Western Reserve (140-83). Ithaca (6-9) was led by junior Mark Tedeschi (Orchard Park/Orchard Park), who posted a victory in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:16.08), setting a new Fredonia pool record.

Freshman Mike Ariel (Xavarian Brothers/Norwood, Mass.), recorded second-place finishes in 200-yard freestyle (1:48.80) and 200-yard backstroke (2:05.79). Junior Josh Tayrien (Chaparral/Paradise Valley, Ariz.) finished second in the 500-yard freestyle (5:00.30).

 
The Bombers next compete Saturday at the University of Rochester.
