ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Bombers improved to 3-0 in Empire 8 competition, topping defending conference champion Alfred 8-1.

Freshman Caitlin Castle (Communication Arts/San Antonio, Texas) posted a pair of wins to improve to 7-1 in her career. Senior Narguess Arjomand (Second Baptist/Houston, Texas) and junior Erin Chapman (Queensbury/Queensbury) were doube winners as well.

Ithaca hosts Cortland Wednesday at 4 p.m.
