Chestertown, Md. -- Senior infielder Marty O’Boyle (Verona/Verona, N.J.) collected a career-high five hits to lead the 17th-ranked Bombers past Washington. Junior first baseman PJ Canestrari (Randolph/Ironia, N.J.) and freshman third baseman Josh Smith (Pulaski/Pulaski) each drove in three runs and scored two. Freshman catcher Rob Raux (Ilion/Frankfort) hit his second home run in as many days and Smith hit a three-run home run. Sophomore outfielder Jeremy Peters (Thomas R. Proctor/Utica) and junior outfielder Kyle Rutherford (New Milford/New Milford, Conn.) both singled, doubled and scored two runs. Freshman Nick Sottung (Pulaski/Pulaski) earned the win – his third of the season, allowing four hits over five innings.
