Women's Swimming Beats Hartwick, Loses to Hamilton and Geneseo

CLINTON, N.Y. - The women’s swimming and diving team traveled to Clinton, N.Y. today for meets against Hamilton, Hartwick and Geneseo. The Bombers (2-3-1) defeated Hartwick 167-74 and fell to Hamilton (124-119) and Geneseo (134-103).
 
Three Bombers posted first-place finishes, with sophomore Jovanna Hart (Bradford Area/Bradford, Pa.) winning the 50-yard freestyle (25.91), freshman Cathleen Barnes (Bradford/Bradford, Pa.) winning the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:16.14) and freshman Lauren Botterbusch (Dallastown/York, Pa.) taking first place in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:27.60). Junior Kristy Gifford (Cheshire/Cheshire, Conn.) finished second to Barnes in the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:22.86) while freshman Anna Winders (Walsh Jesuit/Medina, Ohio) added a second-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle (55.87).
 
The Bombers are off until the Franklin and Marshall Invitational in Lancaster, Pa. on Dec. 3-4.
