Women's Tennis Sweeps Hartwick

ONEONTA, N.Y. - The Bombers improved to 5-3 on the year and 4-0 against Empire 8 opponents with a 9-0 sweep of Hartwick.
 
Freshman Alyssa Jaffe (Pascack Hills/Montvale, N.J.) recorded a straight-set victory at fourth singles and also recorded her first career doubles victory, teaming with senior Narguess Arjomand (Second Baptist/Houston, Texas) for a win at second doubles.
 
Arjomand moved into a tie for ninth on Ithaca’s all-time singles win list by winning in straight sets at third singles. Arjomand has 32 career singles victories.
 
Freshman Caitlin Castle (Communication Arts/San Antonio, Texas) improved to 19-3 in her career by winning at first singles and first doubles.
 
The Bombers compete at the Empire 8 Tournament this weekend.
