Nov. 15 vs. Cortland

Sophomore quarterback Josh Felicetti (Central Bucks East/Doylestown, Pa.) threw four first-half touchdown passes and finished with 321 passing yards to lead the 13th-ranked Bombers to a 40-14 win at Buffalo State. Junior wide receiver Jeff Welch (Ithaca/Ithaca) caught three of Felicetti's touchdown passes. Playing just three quarters, Felicetti threw for 321 yards, completing 17 of 29 passes. His four touchdown passes were a career-high. He threw a 42-yard pass to Welch on Ithaca's first possession, a 35-yard pass to Welch later in the first quarter and a 67-yard pass to Welch on Ithaca's first drive of the second quarter. One possession later Felicetti threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to freshman tight end Mike Oertel (Peru/Peru). The touchdown was the first of Oertel's career. Welch finished with a career-high 178 yards on six catches. Senior Pete Celebre (Strath Haven/Wallingford, Pa.) ran for a team-leading 87 yards on 14 carries and scored on a two-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Senior middle linebacker Robert Truman (Allegany-Limestone/Allegany) led Ithaca with 12 tackles (one short of his career high), four tackles for loss, two sacks and a fumble recovery. Senior free safety Peter Mayer (Hamilton/Hubbardsville) made eight tackles, intercepted one pass and broke up another. Senior linebacker Brett Campbell (Oswego/Oswego) and freshman free safety Jim Chapman (Neshaminy/Langhorne, Pa.) added eight tackles apiece. Chapman's total was a career-best. Senior defensive end Bryan Steele (Hudson Falls/Hudson Falls) recorded three tackles for loss including a pair of sacks and forced a fumble. Senior defensive end Cory Coady (Tupper Lake/Tupper Lake) collected two tackles for loss. Sophomore cornerback Bob Higgins (Aquinas Institute/Rochester) intercepted a pass at the Bomber one-yard line and broke up two others. Freshman defensive tackle Dave Celeste (North Tonawanda/North Tonawanda) and freshman Bill Struzzi (McQuaid Academy/Walworth) each made a career-high five tackles. Junior defensive tackle Alex Shafiro (New Rochelle/New Rochelle) forced a Bengal fumble that Truman recovered one play before Welch's second touchdown. Freshman Brett Kitenplon (Admiral Farragut Academy/Seminole, Fla.) kicked a pair of second-half field goals, covering 37 and 38 yards. He was four for five in extra point attempts.
