Sophomore attacker Jake Cotton scored 12 points in a pair of wins as the Ithaca College men's lacrosse team extended its winning streak to five with wins over Oneonta and Utica College.

Cotton, the reigning Empire 8 Player of the Week, scored three goals with three assists in Wednesday's 17-4 road win over Oneonta.

He followed up with a career-high six assists in Saturday's 18-4 win over Utica College as Ithaca (7-1, 1-0 Empire 8) won its conference opener.

Cotton has scored three or more points in every game this year, and has scored six points in five contests for the Bombers. 

Ithaca, which has scored 15 or more goals in seven of eight games, entered Saturday's contest ranked third nationally in scoring offense (16.38) while ranking third in scoring defense (4.38 goals per game).

IC returns to action hosting SUNY Cortland at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Higgins Stadium.
