OBERLIN, Ohio – Six of Ithaca College's top seven runners clocked season-best performances to lead the Bomber women's cross country team to a ninth-place finish out of 34 teams Saturday at the Oberlin's Inter-Regional Rumble.
Junior
Alexa Rick led the Bombers with a season-best six-kilometer finish of 22:39.30 to place 36th out of 284 runners. Graduate student
Jenn Randall followed in 54th with a 23:01.90 finish.
Ithaca's next five finished in season-best times.
Sophomore
Jaime Lisack and junior
Hannah Wright crossed the finish line in 65th and 67th, respectively, with times of 23:13.50 and 23:14.50.
Juniors
Emily Smith and
Meghan Cass finished back-to-back with finishes of 23:25.80 and 23:26.30 in 77th and 78th. Classmate
Carolyn Malone rounded out the Bombers' top seven with a 93rd-place finish of 23:39.50.
The Bombers will next compete Friday, Oct. 25 at Cornell's Reif Invitational and Saturday, Oct. 26 at the NYSCTC Championship at Hamilton.
