2008 match-by-match statistics
2008: Busch played in 35 matches as a junior. She tallied a career-best 276 kills, most among returning players, and has 13 matches with 10 or more kills. In a stretch of six matches from Oct. 8-25 Busch averaged 13.2 kills per match, and set a new career-high with 20 against Hartwick. Busch also set new career-highs with 89 digs on the season, and added 18 blocks. She recorded her first career double-double against Potsdam, with 12 kills and 10 digs.
2007 match-by-match statistics
2007: Busch appeared in 32 of the Bombers’ matches, tallying 216 kills, 43 digs, and 51 blocks. She registered nine double-digit kill performances, including a new career high with 16 kills against Skidmore in the Oneonta Invitational. Busch was at her best in Ithaca’s run to the ECAC Championship; in the two matches of the tournament she picked up 27 kills in nine games, including 15 in the championship match against Vassar.
2006 match-by-match statistics
2006: Busch appeared in 19 matches as a freshman, totaling 111 kills, 59 digs and 17 blocks. She scored a career-best 13 kills twice, once in a win over Utica and against RIT, and tallied 11 kills in a win over Nazareth. She had career-highs of eight digs and three service aces in a win over Mount Saint Mary’s and hit a career-best .714 in a win over Western Connecticut, registering five kills on just seven attempts.
Career Statistics
High School: A 2006 graduate of Hoover High School, Busch played four years of volleyball was coached by Mia Thomas. She received honorable mention to the all-conference team as a junior and was named the MVP of the Barberton Invitational her senior year. Busch was also a member of the basketball and track & field teams.
Personal: A television-radio major, she is the daughter of Mike and Diane Busch.
