Rachel Ford

Rachel Ford is set to begin her first season as a graduate assistant with Ithaca's women's volleyball program in 2018.

Ford is set to join the program as the new graduate-assistant, filling the role of former IC standout libero Dylan Gawinski-Stern, who is set to graduate with her Master’s Degree this spring. Ford is completing her final semester at Berry College in Mount Berry, Ga.

Ford has been a four-year contributor for the Vikings, appearing in 111 matches over her four seasons from 2014-through-2017. She has registered 68 kills, 63 service aces and 308 digs over her four seasons. This past season, she posted 33 service aces and 83 digs in helping the team capture its first SAA Conference Championship since 2013. The Vikings went on to advance to the NCAA Southeast Regional Championship, hosted by Emory.

An exceptional student, Ford has appeared on the Dean’s List during several semesters during her career. She was named to the SAA All-Sportsmanship Team in 2016, while she was an SAA Academic Honor Roll selection this past fall.

Prior to Berry, she was a multi-year letter-winner at Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She amassed 896 kills, 160 service aces and 723 digs during her prep career, helping Baylor School place Third in the Tennessee State Championships during her freshman and sophomore seasons, and Runner-Up finishes as a junior and senior. Ford was named to the Chattanooga Best of Preps Team, Tennessee All-Star, Team Captain, All-Region and All-State as a senior.
