Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator Camryn Bancroft enters her second season with the Ithaca College volleyball program. She also is the campuses lead instructor in all racquetball sports.
During the 2023 season, Bancroft helped the Bombers win 25 or more matches for the second consecutive year as they finished with a 27-5 mark and hosted an NCAA regional for the first time since 2018. Ithaca also won its second-straight Liberty League Championship
Prior to joining the Bombers, Bancroft hails from Springfield College in Springfield, Mass. where she received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with a double minor in Health Education and Coaching in 2021. She then returned for her Master of Education with a concentration of Athletic Leadership.
"We are really excited about welcoming Camryn to the Bomber family," Dulfer said regarding the hire. "Her background as a highly decorated middle at Springfield, along with the experience on coach Moira Long's staff will serve her well and I expect she'll hit the ground running in Ithaca. Camryn's infectious energy and desire to help make our program the best it can be, was clear from the moment she set foot on campus, and I'm thrilled to start working with her this spring."
As Dulfer mentioned, Bancroft is no stranger to the game as she served as the assistant volleyball coach at her alma mater since January 2022. She was also a volleyball coach at Charlie Sullivan Camp in Western Massachusetts & Long Island, where she assisted in running high school volleyball camps with distinguished men's volleyball coach, Charlie Sullivan, this past summer.
This past season, Springfield volleyball finished with an 18-9 overall record, and 7-3 in conference play (NEWMAC).
As a Division III volleyball player at Springfield, Bancroft earned the following accolades: AVCA All-American, Region II Player of the Year, First Team All-Conference, All-America Academic Player, NCAA Honorable Mention All-America and three-time NEWMAC All-Conference selection.
