High School: Mya attended Northwest Catholic and was a member of John’s Academy of Gymnastics. She was the Connecticut State Bar Champion in 2023 & 2024 , the Region 6 Regional Bar Champion in 2023 and was a National DP Championship Qualifier in 2023 & 2024.

Personal: A physical therapy major, she is the daughter of Martin and Jacqueline John. She has an older brother who attends Endicott College.
