Career statistics

2013-14: Tierney became the program’s fifth WBCA All-American, earning honorable mention praise as a senior. She was named to the D3Hoops.com All-East Region second team and was selected MVP of the Empire 8 Championship Tournament. Her all-tournament team selection tallied her conference player of the week accolades on March 3. An All-Empire 8 first-team pick, Tierney was also named to the DePauw Amy Hasbrook Memorial Tournament All-Tournament Team. Leading the Bombers in several statistical categories, she scored 426 points, grabbed 264 rebounds, dished out 122 assists, made 48 steals and swatted away 31 blocks. Tierney averaged 13.7 points and 8.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 43.1 percent from the field (149-of-346) and from three-point range (72-of-167). She posted one triple-double and 13 double-doubles in 2013-14. Her triple-double comprised of 14 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists that led the Bombers to a program-first Sweet 16 victory. Tierney registered 22 double-digit point performances. Meeting the 20-point threshold on five occasions, she had a season-best showing of 28 points in a victory over Cortland. Tierney started each of the Bombers’ 31 games and inched her way onto program single-season and career top-10 lists. She concluded her three-year Bomber career ranked eighth all-time with 118 three-pointers. Tierney set a school record with 72 three-pointers in 2013-14, ranks tied for third with 122 single-season assists, sixth with 426 single-season points and tied for sixth with 264 single-season rebounds. | 2013-14 Game-by-Game Statistics

2012-13: Tierney started each of the Bombers’ 30 games as a junior, averaging 28.9 minutes a game. She ranked third on the team with 9.4 points per game good for 282 on the season. Tierney had a season-best 18 in a 55-35 victory at Utica on Jan. 8. Posting 14 double-digit scoring performances, she had five double-doubles on the year. She led Ithaca with 211 rebounds, 7.0 per game, and 91 assists, while adding 46 steals and 17 blocks. Tierney shot .348 from the floor and .301 from beyond the arc. | 2012-13 Game-by-Game Statistics

2011-12: Tierney joined the Bombers after the first semester and played in all 19 games the rest of the season. She made three starts, averaging 9.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game in those contests. Tierney recorded career highs with eight rebounds and a team-leading 10 points in the win at Stevens, then matched her point total a game later at Division I Cornell. She collected nine points, six rebounds and four assists at Hartwick in her first career start. She achieved a new personal high in scoring at St. John Fisher, collecting 14 points in the win. Tierney was Ithaca’s top scorer in the Empire 8 Championship Tournament final against Hartwick, netting 11 points in the win to go along with five rebounds. 2010-11: Tierney attended Bryant University for three semesters, playing in 12 games for the Division I Bulldogs. She shot 45.5 percent from the field.

High School: A 2010 graduate of Our Lady of Mercy, Tierney was coached by Tom Vosey and Tim Lambert. She helped the Lions to the 2010 Section V title and was a two-time first-team All-Greater Rochester pick. Tierney was named 2010 Class AA Section V Tournament MVP and was named Rochester Private-Parochial League Player of the Year twice. She averaged 22 points and 12 rebounds per game as a senior and also lettered in soccer. Tierney played in the 2008 Empire State Games.

Personal: A business administration major, she is the daughter of Steve and Sonya Tierney.
