Jordan Beers ’18 will serve as the Ithaca College women's basketball assistant coach for the upcoming 2021-22 season. Beers’ first day back with the program was October 4. She previously served as a student assistant with the team from 2019-21 while she completed her doctorate in physical therapy.
From 2014-17, Beers was a major contributor to the women’s basketball program as a shooting guard. She appeared in 81 games over the three-year stretch as the Bombers went 64-21 and reached the second round of the NCAA Division III Championship twice. IC also won an Empire 8 title during Beers’ junior season.
Beers was named Empire 8 All-Conference twice, including a first-team selection in 2016-17. She finished her career with 785 points as she made 112 3-pointers during that time and was a career 32.7-percent shooter from beyond the arc.
After a shortened senior season, Beers moved into a student assistant coaching role and then to a graduate assistant.
In 2017-18, IC earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament and reached the second round once again. The following season, the Bombers went 25-6, which was highlighted with the program’s first Liberty League title and an exciting run to the Elite 8. Most recently, IC posted a 23-6 mark in 2019-20 with another Liberty crown and a visit to the NCAA Second Round.
The Bombers begin the 2021-22 season on November 13 against Hartwick College.
