Biography

2014: Long was named a USILA All-America Honorable Mention for the second straight season. A senior captain and an All-Empire 8 First-Team selection, he earned USILA Scholar All-America accolades. Long ranked third on the team with 29 goals and added 14 assists for 43 points. He posted a game-winner during his season-best five-goal performance against Lycoming on March 5. Playing in each of the Bombers’ 20 games, Long added 16 ground balls and a trio of caused turnovers in 2014. | 2014 Game-by-Game Statistics

2013: A USILA All-America honorable mention as a junior, Long was named to the All-Empire 8 First Team. Selected Empire 8 Player of the Week on March 25, he ranked second on the team with 44 points. Long had a Bomber-best 37 goals and chipped in seven assists. Playing in all 18 of Ithaca’s games, he had a season-best five goals in a victory over Oneonta and added four during a win over St. John Fisher. 2012: An All-Empire 8 second-team selection as a sophomore, Long led the team with 18 assists in 2012. He dished out three assists in a trio of games. Long added 13 goals to rank third on the team with 31 points. He also collected 11 ground balls. | 2012 Game-by-Game Statistics

2011: Long played in each of Ithaca’s 17 games and started 16 as a freshman. He finished fourth on the team with 16 goals. Long added six assists to notch 22 points on the season. On April 27, he scored a season-best three goals in an 18-1 win against Alfred. He picked up 13 ground balls and forced two turnovers. | 2011 Game-by-Game Statistics

Career Statistics

High School: A 2010 graduate of Upper Dublin High School, Long was a three-year letter winner on the lacrosse team for coach John Levine. A midfielder, he won the coaches’ award in 2008 and 2009 and was named captain his senior season. Long was a second-team all-league selection as a junior and was named team offensive MVP, a first-team all-league selection and a first-team all-area honoree during his senior campaign. He was also a four-year member of the ice hockey and golf teams.

Personal: A business administration major, he is the son of Charles and Jacqueline Long.
