High School: Lemza is a graduate of Peru High School where he played three years of varsity basketball for coach John Clemons. He was an all-state honorable mention and a CVAC First Team All-Star. Lemza also played AAU for coaches Ryan Converse and Dave Mattice. 

Personal: Tyler is an exercise science major and is the son of Paul and Judy Lemza.
