Biography

2012-13: Rossi started all 30 games for the Bombers, making him the only player to start every contest in 2012-13. Rossi concluded his career at Ithaca with a number of honors, including being named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-East District First Team, the D3Hoops.com All-East Region First-Team and the Empire 8 First Team. Rossi was also named a D3Hoops.com Second-Team All-American after earning a D3Hoops.com Preseason All-America Honorable Mention to start the year. Rossi set the NCAA Division III all-time assists record on Feb. 22 during a 70-63 victory in an Empire 8 semifinal against St. John Fisher. Rossi amassed 957 career assists to rank eighth all-time across all divisions. He led the Bombers with 214 assists on the year, averaging 7.1 per contest to rank fourth nationally. Becoming the 23rd Bomber in program history to reach the 1,000-point threshold, Rossi chipped in 8.5 points per game. He also added 3.0 rebounds per outing and 21 steals. 2011-12: Rossi started 27 of the Bombers’ 28 games as a junior captain en route to being named the NCAA Division III statistics leader in assists for the third consecutive season. He tallied 259 during the season to become Ithaca’s assists record holder and moved into 12th-place in Division III history with 743. His 259 in 2011-12 ranks 10th in Division III for most assists in a season, while his 2010-11 total of 263 remains eighth. A two-time Empire 8 Player of the Week, Rossi was named Empire 8 Championship Tournament MVP. He earned First-Team All-Empire 8 and D3Hoops.com All-East Region Second Team honors. He collected four double-doubles highlighted by a 17-assist, 11-point performance at Utica. He tallied season-bests of 23 points, 19 assists and nine rebounds. Rossi ranked fourth on the team with 9.4 points per game. He recorded 264 points, 98 boards and 21 steals as a junior. | 2011-12 game-by-game statistics

2010-11: Rossi led the nation in assists for the second consecutive year with 263, an average of 9.7 per game, to move into third all-time at Ithaca with 484 career dishes. He also bettered his school season-assists record of 221 from his rookie season. Rossi earned D3Hoops.com Second-Team East Region and NABC Second-Team East Region accolades in addition to his First-Team All-Empire 8 and First-Team ECAC Upstate N.Y. honors. Scoring 11.9 points per game, Rossi served as one of five Bombers with double-digit averages in 2010-11. He had 322 points on the season, 61 rebounds and 18 steals in a team-high 966 minutes played, while dishing out 10-plus assists on 12 occasions and tallying nine double-doubles. 2009-10: Rossi started each of the Bombers’ 28 contests en route to being named the Empire 8 Rookie of the Year. Rossi, who was also named to the Empire 8 Honorable Mention All-Star team, twice led Ithaca in scoring. He averaged 11.0 points per game to rank fourth on the team and pulled down 2.2 rebounds per contest. A seven-time Empire 8 Rookie of the Week selection, Rossi dished out a team-high 221 assists as the point guard and added 32 steals and one block. He recorded a career-high 19 points at Elmira on Jan. 5 and twice added 18. Rossi scored in double digits 19 times throughout his freshman season. He also recorded five non-traditional double-doubles with assists and points. Rossi tallied 10 or more assists on eight occasions including a season-high 17 against Roanoke on Dec. 29. | 2009-10 game-by-game statistics

Career Statistics

High School: A 2009 graduate of Sparta High School, Rossi was coached by Brian Brennan. He earned four varsity letters and was named to the all-West Jersey team as a junior and senior. He was also a two-time team Most Valuable Player. He also lettered in bowling four years.

Personal: A business management major, he is the son of Anthony and Elizabeth Rossi.
