Biography

2004-05: Bellis played in all 27 games with 26 starting assignments. He was named a second-team Empire 8 All-Star after leading the team with 13.6 points per game. Bellis tied for a team-high 48 steals and ranked third on the team with 4.5 rebounds per game. He also led the Bombers with 38 three-point field goals and 78 free-throws made. Bellis matched a career-high with 21 points and added 10 rebounds against Division II opponent Mansfield. He also recorded double-doubles against St. John Fisher (18 points and 10 rebounds) and Nazareth (20 points and 11 rebounds). Bellis scored 20 points, grabbed eight rebounds and recorded a career-high six steals against Oswego in the ECAC Playoffs.

2003-04: Bellis, an honorable mention Empire 8 all-star, played in all 26 games with 24 starts. He ranked second on the team with 295 points, averaging 11.3 per game. He recorded 105 rebounds, 49 assists and 33 steals. Bellis scored in double figures 16 times, including three games with 20 or more points. He scored a career-high 21 points at Cortland, shooting 8-of-10 from the free throw line. He posted a career-high 12 rebounds in a win over Oneonta. He scored 20 points, making four three-point field goals, in a win over Potsdam. He added 20 points, shooting 2-of-3 from three-point range, against St. John Fisher.

2002-03: Bellis played in 20 games, including three starts. He made 11-of-24 three-point shots and grabbed 36 rebounds. He scored a career-high 13 points on 3-of-3 shooting from three-point range and added four rebounds against Geneseo. Bellis scored in double figures three times, including 11 points at St. John Fisher and at Elmira.

High School: At Bloomfield Central High School, Bellis played for coach Rich Farcio. A three-time first-team Finger Lakes all-star selection, he was a first-team “fab five” selection his senior year. He also received Ronald McDonald all-star and second-team all-greater Rochester honors as a senior. On the state level, he was a third-team selection and a class CC all-star.

Personal: A business administration major, he is the son of James and Eva Bellis.
