Biography

2009 game-by-game statistics

2008: Despite carrying the ball just once in the final 15 quarters of the season, Bergerstock enjoyed one of the best seasons ever by an Ithaca running back. A first-team Empire 8 and third-team East Region all-star, he set school records with 20 touchdowns and 120 points. Bergerstock’s 1,240 rushing yards were just 68 short of another Bomber record. He ranked 10th nationally in scoring and 24th in rushing. Bergerstock’s 278-yard, five touchdown performance in the Hartwick win earned him Empire 8 Offensive Player of the Week honors as well as a spot on D3football.com’s Team of the Week. He recorded three other 150-yard games, running for 196 against Frostburg State and 175 against Springfield. He scored four touchdowns in both those wins. Bergerstock was named Ithaca’s Honorary Offensive Captain after the win at King’s and was picked as the team’s Outstanding Back following the Hartwick, Utica and Springfield victories.

2008 game-by-game statistics

2007: In his first season with the varsity, Bergerstock saw action as a reserve running back and kicking off. In his varsity debut, he ran for 16 yards, caught his first career pass and made a pair of tackles on kickoff coverage in the season-opening win at Lycoming. Bergerstock ran for a career-high 27 yards in the Homecoming victory over Norwich.

2006: As a freshman, Bergerstock spent the season on the junior varsity team. He was named Ithaca’s Offensive Scout Team Player of the Week after the St. John Fisher and Alfred games.
