2011: Liemer started every game at free safety and paced Ithaca’s defense with four interceptions and three fumble recoveries. His 61 tackles led the Bomber secondary and ranked second on the team. Liemer made six tackles – including a career-best five solo stops – in the season-opening win over Brockport and intercepted a pair of passes. His first pickoff set up the game’s first touchdown. Liemer had a hand in a pair of turnovers in the win at Union, recovering a fumble inside the Bomber five-yard line and setting up the game’s final touchdown with an interception. A week later he helped clinch Ithaca’s victory at Hartwick, picking off a fourth-quarter pass inside his own 30 with Ithaca up by eight points. He tied his career high with 10 tackles at #21 Salisbury and matched that total in the Alfred game. 2010: Liemer started the final eight games of the season at free safety. He led the team with seven pass-break-ups and ranked second on the Bombers with three interceptions. Liemer’s three tackles for loss were the highest total among the team’s defensive backs. He made his first career start in the win at Widener and collected three solo tackles and an interception. He made a career-best 10 tackles a week later at Lycoming. Liemer finished with four solo tackles (among six total stops), two passes broken up and two interceptions in the Homecoming win over Hartwick. 2008: Liemer was a member of the football team at Division I-AA Albany.
High School: A 2008 graduate of Horace Greeley High School, Liemer was coached by Bill Tribou. He earned all-league honors.
Personal: A psychology major, he is the son of David and Toni Liemer.
