Ithaca College Athletics

Mark Raymond is in his sixth year as Ithaca’s defensive coordinator.

He spent the previous year at Canton Tech, where he was the Northstars’ associate head coach/defensive coordinator. He spent two years as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Syracuse while earning a certificate of advanced study in exercise physiology/physical education. Raymond coached at St. Lawrence for three years, working with the Saints’ linebackers and defensive ends while earning his master’s degree.

Raymond was a three-year starter at the University of Buffalo and served as team captain in 1992. He also received the Coaches Award that year.

In addition to his football duties, Raymond oversees strength and conditioning for Ithaca’s 24 other sports.
