High School: Attended Indian Land High School where he earned four varsity letters under head coach Horatio Blades...earned all-conference honors twice...named linebacker of the year in 2018...also lettered in wrestling. 

Personal: Alex, the son of Jamison Murphy and Radmila Hollnagel, is a biology major.
