2011 Game-by-Game Statistics

2010:
Ahonen was named a second-team ABCA New York Region all-star and became the first Bomber to ever win an ABCA New York Region Gold Glove award. He was also a first-team Empire 8 all-star for the third year in a row. Ahonen led the Bombers in batting average posting a .371 mark. He was tied for second on the team in home runs (three) and tied for first in runs batted in (32) and doubles (10). His on base percentage (.452) and slugging percentage (.545) both ranked second on the team. He had 16 multi-hit games and had a season high three hits on two separate occasions. He started all 38 games for the Bombers.

2009: Ahonen was named a first-team all-Empire 8 player for the second straight season, as well as a second-team ABCA New York region all-star. Among Bombers with at least 50 at bats, Ahonen was the team leader in batting average (.391), on-base percentage (.479) and slugging percentage (.609). He also hit a team-best five home runs and knocked in 32 runs. Ahonen scored 27 runs on the season. In the Bombers eight-game California trip, Ahonen batted .429 with four homers and 11 RBI. He also scored 12 runs. He drove in a career-best four runs against Menlo. For his play, Ahonen was named to the California Classic all-tournament team. On the season, Ahonen had 14 multi-hit games, including five three-hit contests. In 115 at bats, he struck out 12 times while drawing 18 walks.

2009 Game-by-Game Statistics

2008: Ahonen was the unanimous Empire 8 Rookie of the Year after hitting a team-leading .418 as a freshman. He was named to the all-conference first-team and was named an ABCA New York Region first team all-star. His batting average was the highest for a Bomber since 2000. He also led the Bombers with 61 hits and a .466 on-base percentage while ranking second with 12 doubles. Ahonen had multi-hit games in half of his 40 starts, and recorded 35 runs scored and 30 RBI. He had six three-hit games on the season, including two amidst a 12-game hitting streak. He had a career-high four-hit game against Clarkson, also setting career highs with three runs and three RBI. He also hit one of his two home runs against the Golden Knights. Ahonen also stole 11 bases and was caught stealing just twice.

Career Statistics

High School: A 2007 graduate of Victor Central School, Ahonen earned all-league honors in baseball, football and basketball.

Personal: A student in Ithaca's master of business administration program, Ahonen earned his bachelor's degree in accounting in six semesters. He is the son of Dave and Carolee Ahonen. He is also a member of Ithaca’s football team, earning Empire 8 all-star honors and academic all-America recognition as a strong safety. Ahonen won Ithaca's James A. Harris Award as the top multi-sport athlete in the class of 2010.
