In 2024, Ithaca College and SUNY Cortland will square off for the 82nd time since 1930 and the 65th occasion as part of the annual Cortaca Jug Game, which began in 1959. Separated by less than 21 miles, Ithaca and Cortland annually draw thousands of fans, community members, students and alumni to their respective campus to watch the two teams carry on the tradition on the gridiron.

The 2024 Cortaca Jug Game is a significant marker in the storied history as the contest is back in Cortland after the Red Dragons won the NCAA Division III Football Championship in 2023.
Ithaca owns the all-time series lead at 43-35-3, and in Jug Games, the Bombers have prevailed 38 times in 64 meetings.
